Therefore, the need to study management is essential. I intend to study aviation management with the help of GBAA scholarship (Barney and Hesterly 23). The scholarship will enable me to undertake further training on issues of aviation management which are essential for career development. Currently, I have training on Aviation Maintenance, which I received a license in 2013. However, aviation maintenance does not cover issues of corporate aviation function. My career objective is to become aviation manager. This cannot be achieved unless the educational background is secure and sound. This involved studying aviation management and business related degree, which will ensure that all the necessary skills are developed. However, to achieve this, I will need financial support that will facilitate the process of learning. Corporate aviation management is a scientific process with great business repercussion including massive losses in case of wrong choice. Wrong choices can be avoided if solid educational background is developed. Professional development in this field cannot be achieved easily because of the increasing financial strain. Therefore, I believe that there is need to develop effective skills through learning and positive interactions with players in the field and lecturers. The role of corporate aviation manager is broad covering a myriad of responsibilities. He supervises all phases of aviation department including flight operations, maintenance and scheduling. The understanding of the departmental functions is essential because it leads to harmony in operations. These interconnections cannot be grasped without solid educational background.
